I want to use Apache to host my file (1 GB each) and am going to ask
my users to use some download managers to download them fast and
reliably over the internet.

In wikipedia for download managers, I read that "A few servers are
known to block moving files in parallel segments, on the principle
that server capacity should be shared equally by all users.". Is that
the case with Apache? If so, how to disable it?

Also, Is it a good choice to use Apache to store all my files (I GB
each) and make it work as the file downloads server? Are there any
precautions/optimizations that need to be done? Thank you.

- Shailu.
