is there some kind of indicator to notify you who is connected to your
website using the apache server? i am using version 2.0.52.

If there's not, you can just check the access log. I also use TCPView
(from the former Sysinternals, now Microsoft:)

http://www.microsoft.com/technet/sysinternals/Networking/TcpView.mspx

The log tells you what people are doing, TCPView shows who's online.
